Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet – A Sci-Fi Saga for Playful Paws

So, what do we have here? It’s simply a brand-new franchise from Playful Dogs.

The studio has recently become renowned for titles like Uncharted and The Last of Us. In the past few years alone, it has re-released games from both series with enhanced graphics for the latest consoles. We have witnessed the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, featuring A Thief’s End and Lost Legacy. Additionally, remastered versions of The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 have also been released.

However, now, several months after studio director Neil Druckmann announced that Playful Dogs has various games in development, including “multiple single-player projects,” the team has revealed details about its next, entirely new title: Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

“Set thousands of years in the future, Intergalactic places players in the role of Jordan A. Mun, a skilled bounty hunter who finds herself marooned on Sempiria – a remote planet that lost communication with the outside world centuries ago. Jordan must utilize all her abilities and cleverness if she wants to become the first individual to escape its orbit in over 600 years,” states the game’s official description.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet features Tati Gabrielle, known for her role as Braddock in the Uncharted film, and is set to portray Nora in the second season of The Last of Us. Furthermore, I believe I also saw Kumail Nanjiani!

In a PlayStation blog post following the game’s reveal, Druckmann stated that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is “shaping up to be our most ambitious and creative story yet.”
