Outperforming formidable opponents

Indiana Jones and the Wide Circle may have released too late to receive any accolades at The Game Awards last month, but not every event has such a deadline, and a new accolade for the 2024 title has recently emerged. Presented at the New York Game Awards this month, Troy Baker’s performance has garnered him the ‘Best Acting in a Game’ award for his contribution to Xbox’s Indiana Jones title.
Undoubtedly, this may come as no surprise. Baker delivered an exceptionally outstanding portrayal, bringing a cinematic flair to the video game character—so much so that even original actor Harrison Ford appreciated his interpretation.
Here’s the complete list of nominees for that specific award, including the victor:
- Abubakar Salim as Zau, Zuberi, and Griot Echo in Tales of Kenzera: Zau
- John Eric Bentley as Barret in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
- Hannah Telle as Max Caulfield in Life is Strange: Double Exposure
- Melina Juergens as Senua in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
- Troy Baker as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Wide Circle – WINNER
- Humberly González as Kay in Star Wars Outlaws
This was Xbox’s sole true victory at the New York Game Awards 2025, although several third-party titles available on Xbox did also win some awards. As you may recall from above, Xbox’s Hellblade 2 also vied in the Best Acting category but ultimately lost to Indiana Jones.
The complete list of nominees and winners is available here, and we would like to applaud Troy Baker for bringing home this accolade for Indiana Jones and the Wide Circle.
