Hollow Knight: Silksong Teasers Stir Excitement as Developers Assure Progress is Steady!

We had been deceived once more, everyone. What we believed were Hollow Knight: Silksong hints left by one of the developers turned out to be a “nothingburger,” yet the game remains in demand.

One of the developers altered their profile picture and name on Twitter, seemingly dropping hints that additional information about the game would be revealed during the Nintendo Switch 2 Presentation in April.

YouTuber fireb0rn, known for Hollow Knight content, tweeted: “Leth reached out to me to affirm that there was no Silksong ARG and that the changes to William’s account and the tweet were insignificant. Sorry for misleading everyone. The cake was a lie.”

However, Matthew Griffin, who handles marketing and publishing for Hollow Knight: Silksong, assures us that the game is still in development and we’ll eventually get our hands on it. “Yes, the game is genuine, making progress, and will be released,” they tweeted.

Deep down, I sensed we were just spinning our wheels with this one, but what’s a fandom without a glimmer of hope? I continue to hold on to the belief that one day we will receive a new Bloodborne game or a remastered version, despite being proven wrong repeatedly.

Hollow Knight debuted back in 2017 and became a massive hit due to its stunning visuals, captivating atmosphere, and exceptional combat and soundtrack. The forthcoming sequel, Silksong, was announced back in February 2019, so we’re approaching six years without the highly awaited game actually reaching us. Disheartening.

Greatness requires patience, and I believe we’d all prefer a game that lives up to the original rather than rush something out that disappoints everyone who has already waited this long.
