Demise Stranding 2 director Hideo Kojima took a brief break from sharing images of Fragile actress Léa Seydoux on Twitter, opting instead to share a photo of himself intensely focused while developing Demise Stranding 2.
“Creating the game,” Kojima stated on Twitter alongside a series of images showing him gazing at a sleek desktop monitor, an enigmatic expression on his face, and wearing a mysterious pair of dark sunglasses.
He’s holding an Astro Bot PS5 controller – a gift, I believe, based on the greeting card resting on the table before him – close to his chin, hunching slightly like a turtle. His hands are placed on the sides of the W-shaped controller, as if he is an alien who has beamed down to Earth simply to explore the PS5 Pro, yet feels too timid to do so in your presence. That’s where the sunglasses come into play.
In one of Kojima’s photos, there is also a pile of unopened Lego sets and a bright, traffic cone-yellow Lego bag appearing somewhat crumpled and unremarkable.
“I see Kojima is a Lego enthusiast, too!” one supporter responds enthusiastically. However, Kojima is far too engrossed in the simplicity of his male living space for the remarks to reach his headphone-muffled ears.
