Hideki Kamiya Takes a Stand Against Irresponsible Leakers Following Swap 2 Incident
Hideki Kamiya has criticized “shoddy leakers” following Nintendo’s reveal of the Switch 2, stating they “should be punished.”
Earlier today, Nintendo finally unveiled its Switch 2 console after several months filled with leaks and speculation.
After the announcement, Kamiya (game designer known for Okami, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and more) expressed his displeasure on social media towards those who disclosed Switch 2 details prior to the official announcement.
“I wish that everyone who leaked Switch 2 information or assisted in leaking it will be cursed for the entirety of their lives to always have poop on their shoes when they come home,” he remarked humorously (via machine translation).
Kamiya recalled the surprise announcement of an Okami sequel back at last year’s The Game Awards. “Now that I’ve relished the surprise reveal of Okami with everyone, I genuinely believe that… all those pesky leakers should be cursed,” he stated.

He continued, labeling theoretical leakers as “the worst of the worst.”
“The awful leaker operates solely for their own gratification and satisfaction; they contribute nothing of value to others, incurring various opportunity losses, and have nothing to be proud of in the eyes of their peers,” he expressed. “They are the filthiest of scum, potentially deserving to be covered in excrement from head to toe and exiled from the planet… to wander endlessly.”
The thread ended with another outburst of vexation.
“These despicable leakers hold a position of trust where they have access to information known only by a select few; yet, their actions merely reflect a filthy craving for acceptance devoid of any logic; they are disgraceful individuals. The criticism should not be directed at the companies whose secrets have been divulged, but at these reprehensible individuals, who must be eliminated swiftly,” he declared.
