Here’s What Might Leave Xbox Game Pass In May 2025
What titles might exit Xbox Game Pass in May 2025? Well, Microsoft hasn’t made any definitive announcements yet, but based on some games that came to the service around this time last year, we can at least make a few educated guesses ahead of time.
We know that many Xbox users prefer more transparency regarding games departing Xbox Game Pass, although Microsoft usually gives us about two weeks notice – and don’t forget, publishers often negotiate directly with Microsoft to keep their titles on Game Pass, even after it’s announced they will be removed!
Therefore, before we take a look at the following list of potential games departing Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, we want to emphasize that nothing has been confirmed yet, and it is not a 100% accurate list by any means. Some of these games may depart, some may remain, and many more could be included in the list.
The latest trend (though not necessarily the only one) with Xbox Game Pass seems to be that titles usually remain for about a year, so we’ve revisited May 2024 to examine the games that were incorporated into Game Pass at that time. Additionally, we’ve included some games from the May 2023 list as well. Based on those initial announcements, here’s what we speculate could potentially depart Xbox Game Pass in May 2025:

As mentioned, there could be numerous additions to this list, and some of these games might remain on Xbox Game Pass for an extended period. However, it seems quite likely that we will lose at least a few of them in May 2025. Our forecasts usually turn out to be accurate anywhere from 30% to 80% of the time – you never quite know how reliable they will be!
It’s still early days for April 2025’s Xbox Game Pass roster, but we already have knowledge of several exciting additions on the horizon, including South of Midnight and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – promising a thrilling and eventful month!
