Hawkeye Favorite Makes a Comeback in Daredevil: Born Again
Tony Dalton has confirmed his return to the role of Jack Duquesne for Daredevil: Born Again once again.
Dalton portrayed Jack, also known as The Swordsman, a wealthy nobleman who ultimately gets framed for the murder of his uncle by Kate Bishop’s mother, his fiancée, in the 2021 Disney Plus series. At the conclusion of Hawkeye, Eleanor Bishop is imprisoned for the murder, and Jack assists Clint Barton and Kate in battling villains during the confrontation at Rockefeller Center. You may also recall that the primary antagonist of Hawkeye was none other than Wilson Fisk, who is again the major villain in Daredevil: Born Again.
Dalton announced the news in an Instagram post, tagging the official Daredevil account and stating, “It’s on!”
Just to refresh your memory, Fisk first appeared in Netflix’s Daredevil, before returning for Hawkeye and subsequently starring in its spin-off series Echo, which foreshadows Fisk’s bid for mayor in Born Again. It will be intriguing to see how the Duquesne family interacts with Fisk’s latest political ambitions.
Dalton is also recognized for his portrayal of the utterly ruthless Lalo Salamanca in the Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut on March 4 with a 9-episode run, with the latter episodes reserved for a sequel.
