Similar to the initial game
We have been eagerly anticipating getting our hands on Hades 2 since its announcement back in late 2022, but sadly, we will have to hold on just a little while longer – as it is prioritizing console release on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Indeed, a new video shared by Nintendo today mentions, “launching first for consoles on Nintendo Switch 2,” with more information set to arrive later this year. This statement is highlighted in the recent Creators Deliver trailer:
Hades 2 is now expected to arrive on Xbox consoles in 2026. The Switch 2 version seems to be scheduled for the latter half of this year, so don’t be too surprised if we have to wait another year for an official Hades 2 release date on Xbox.
A similar situation occurred with the original game, needless to say – it was released for PC and Switch in September 2020, before making its way to Xbox in August 2021. It appears that the sequel might follow a comparable path as well.
