There were discussions regarding whether or not Rockstar could deliver Grand Theft Auto 6 this year; however, according to its parent company Take-Two, it is expected to release this Fall 2025.
This information emerges from the company’s latest financial earnings briefing, in which Take-Two Interactive Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick explained how this will align with titles like Mafia: The Old Country and Borderlands 4.
“As we look forward, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the most successful ever for Take-Two, with plans to release Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4.“
Take-Two Interactive also previously confirmed an Xbox Series X|S launch for ‘Fall 2025’ in May of last year.
This latest announcement follows reports from the end of last month suggesting the frame rate target for GTA 6 on consoles might be 30FPS. Take-Two also is not concerned about ensuring the game runs on Xbox Series S.
