GOG Strengthens Commitment to Sports Preservation by Joining European Archivist Association

GOG has formed a collaboration with the European Federation of Game Archives, Museums, and Preservation Tasks (EFGAMP), the largest federation in Europe dedicated to positioning “video games as cultural heritage”.
With fellow contributors such as The Video Game Museum in Rome, France’s MO5.COM, Computerspielemuseum in Berlin, The Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision, and Embracer Video games Archive, GOG recognized its membership as “a considerable advancement in connecting the private sector with cultural institutions throughout Europe.”
It also expressed hope that by joining EFGAMP, GOG would “strengthen its role as a global leader in game preservation” and highlight its “ardent” advocacy efforts.
