As showcased in the latest trailer during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase, this leads to some hilariously exaggerated combat sequences that pit the home defender against the thieves. You’ll soon have the chance to see it for yourself as public beta registration is now officially open.
In this asymmetric multiplayer game, you either assume the role of the Trapper, who manages all safety devices in the establishment and can move around setting traps, or one of three Bandits, who must collaborate to gather all ten valuable treasures and escape before they are overwhelmed by the condominium’s defenses. To succeed as a Bandit, you’ll need to master various scanners and tools available to you to uncover traps and find hidden treasures, while a successful Trapper will need to carefully monitor the property and strategically set booby traps to catch the Bandits off guard.
One aspect that truly makes Bandit Trap distinctive is the entertaining procedural damage to the characters, who get blown up, squished, and thrown against walls in their quest for loot with comical enthusiasm. The levels themselves are highly interactive and destructible, allowing for holes in the walls to create shortcuts throughout the property, and water leaks can flow through openings to flood rooms, slow players down, and even freeze to turn them into an ice rink!
