Limited Run has released a new video teaser showcasing its forthcoming launch of Gex Trilogy.

This trilogy – which combines the original PS1 2D platformer, Gex, along with its two 3D sequels: Gex: Enter the Gecko & Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko – isn’t merely “re-releases” but features a variety of bonuses and upgrades to “bring Gex back into the spotlight,” including native widescreen.

Additional enhancements include save states, rewind features, widescreen support, behind-the-scenes content featuring vintage commercials, a music player, and an exclusive interview with Dana Gould, the voice of Gex.

You can witness Gex in action in the teaser below:

“Things are about to become crazier than a 4th of July party at Rick James’ place! Everyone’s favorite tail-whipping, channel-surfing gecko is returning in a collection that encompasses all of his top-selling escapades!” teased Limited Run.

While there is currently no confirmed release date, Gex Trilogy is expected to launch in summer/Q3 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

If you missed it, previously unseen footage from a demo for an unreleased Gex sequel surfaced back in 2022. This footage displayed a character named Gex Jr. navigating what appears to be a cinema.
