The announcement of the Switch 2 and its reveal video is now gaining traction across the internet, and numerous developers and publishers are starting to share their responses. We have compiled as many as we could find in one convenient post. Enjoy!

Ubisoft

After various rumors hinted that it would be bringing over a dozen titles to Nintendo’s latest console, Ubisoft has now publicly expressed its admiration for the Switch 2:

Masahiro Sakurai (Smash Bros)

Sakurai’s reaction was a succinct one-liner, but he appears to be impressed (and perhaps quite surprised?):

“Ooooh!”

Takaya Imamura (Star Fox, F-Zero)

Former Nintendo employee Takaya Imamura, known for his prior work on franchises like Star Fox, has also shared his thoughts:

“Nintendo has developed numerous game consoles to date, but with the Switch, they seem to have finally arrived at the ideal solution. It can also be said that the Switch 2 represents the next step in that evolution. While there may be few changes in design, there should be some exciting features waiting to be uncovered.”

“Reflecting back, this was the first occasion I experienced a new hardware announcement from outside Nintendo! I had no inkling it would be this thrilling! Excitement is key.”

He’s also very much in favor of a Star Fox revival on the Switch 2:

“We will certainly meet.”

Reggie Fils-Aimé (former NoA president):

The former president of Nintendo of America, Reggie, reminisced about the new device, reflecting on his tenure at the company:

Katsuhiro Harada (Tekken)

While not much came from Harada, he did make a brief repost of the Switch 2 announcement on social media. This follows recent rumors suggesting that Tekken could be on its way to the new platform.

Ruffy and the Riverside

This 3D platformer, which recently secured a release date for the Switch, is expected to perform remarkably on the Switch 2:

LUCID

The developer of LUCID has also shared congratulations, noting that LUCID will look “fantastic” on the Switch 2:

Berserk Boy

This indie title released last year has some exciting updates:

Mouse P.I. For Hire

The upcoming black & white FPS Mouse: P.I. For Hire seems to be hinting at something intriguing…

Team Cherry (Hollow Knight: Silksong)

The team at Cherry has also made news following the announcement of the Switch 2…

Doug Bowser (NoA President):

President Bowser didn’t want to overlook his beloved friend DK on a day like this:

Hideki Kamiya (Okami)

Kamiya, who is currently working on an Okami sequel, went on a tirade regarding Switch 2 leakers:
