Are you planning to watch it live?
With the Xbox Developer Direct for 2025 just about a day away, it’s our chance to do what we always do – ask you about your plans for it! In other words, will you be tuning in live, or simply catching up after the event?
If you’re not a huge fan of the lengthy summer showcases, the best aspect of the Developer Direct is its brevity, typically wrapping up in around forty-five minutes. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, yet it also doesn’t feel rushed.
Before we proceed further, don’t forget to keep in mind all the essential details (it’s happening on Thursday!):
Surely, much of this likely hinges on your excitement for titles like DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and/or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but don’t forget there’s a mystery fourth game that hasn’t been confirmed yet (unless you count the speculation about it being a Japanese title), and possibly even a fifth surprise if we’re fortunate!
We’re big fans of the Xbox Developer Direct format here at Pure Xbox, and the past two editions in 2023 and 2024 were both fantastic. Hi-Fi RUSH was a major surprise in 2023 as a shadow drop, while Square Enix made an unexpected appearance last year with Visions of Mana. Just like those two showcases, we’re looking forward to release dates for several games too!
