With Indiana Jones & the Great Circle and Doom: The Dark Ages both on the horizon, Microsoft has confirmed yet another first-party title making its way to PS5. Forza Horizon 5 is set to arrive on Sony’s console this “spring,” along with new updates for all platforms.

Initially launched back in 2021, Forza Horizon 5 expanded the celebrated open-world racing series into Mexico—or at least a fictional island inspired by the country’s attractions and culture. Eurogamer described it as “another stunning and immersive vacation getaway” in our official review, emphasizing its racing “masterfully balances structure with player freedom.”

This means that it’s yet another significant title from Xbox consoles that PlayStation gamers can get accustomed to. Forza Horizon 5’s PlayStation release will support cross-platform play, and will include the same content as the PC and Xbox editions—along with additional Car Packs and its two expansions, Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, also available for purchase.

Moreover, Microsoft has announced a new free update for all platforms, though it currently lacks a specific release date. Horizon Regions, as it is called, promises to allow players to “explore a curated selection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds,” along with some exciting “surprises.”

Forza Horizon 5’s transition to PS5 follows Microsoft’s confirmation of its new multi-console release strategy last year. The groundwork was laid in 2024 with the launch of Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment on PlayStation, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Doom: The Dark Ages, and The Outer Worlds 2 currently slated for 2025.

The premier of this year also revealed rumors about additional Xbox titles destined for PlayStation, including PS5 versions of Halo: The Masterchief Collection and Flight Sim.
