Exciting New Frontiers on PS5

Developer Playground Games has declared that Forza Horizon 5 is set to launch on PlayStation 5, bringing the expansive racing experience to the platform in Spring 2025.
Initially released in late 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Forza Horizon 5 transported players to Horizon Mexico as the fifth open-world installment in the series on Xbox. This event marks the franchise’s first appearance on PlayStation, having stayed exclusive to Xbox consoles since Microsoft created it to rival Gran Turismo.
“Our team is thrilled to announce that this spring, PlayStation 5 players will be able to explore Mexico’s vibrant highways and experience the Horizon Festival for the first time as we officially bring Forza Horizon 5 to PS5.”
“We are excited to see the Forza Horizon 5 community expand with new players on PS5, and we can’t wait to witness the creativity and talent these new creators, developers, and racers will bring to our dynamic community.”

The team has also shared additional details about this forthcoming PS5 version. Fear Button, a studio experienced with the Forza series, is spearheading this new adaptation, with support from the seasoned Forza teams at Turn 10 and Playground Games.
“The PlayStation 5 edition of Forza Horizon 5, developed by Fear Button in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, will feature the same content as the Xbox and PC versions of the game. Previously released Car Packs, as well as the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions, will also be available for purchase.”
“Wishlist Forza Horizon 5 on the PlayStation Store today to stay updated on announcements and release dates. If you have the game on another platform, share the news with your friends in the PS5 community and invite them to prepare for your convoys, as cross-play will be supported for all Forza Horizon 5 players across Xbox consoles, PC, and PS5.”
