Flashbulb Games Restructures Following Cancellation of Unannounced Mission
“Although this was a challenging choice, most of the team has been reassigned to our main game,” states the CEO.
Flashbulb Games has terminated the employment of seven staff members.
The Danish studio noted that it was a “difficult decision,” but despite the necessity to halt progress on an undisclosed project, all but seven employees have been reassigned to its vehicle construction game, Trailmakers.
“While this was a tough decision, the majority of the team that was involved in that project has been transferred to Trailmakers, our primary game,” stated studio CEO Christopher Håkonsson, as reported by Game Developer.
“We recognize significant potential in Trailmakers and are eager to enhance its growth and provide even more for our players and community.”
Flashbulb was founded in 2016 by former employees of Rare, CCP, and IO.
Last week, nearly 100 developers were let go from Warner Games Montreal.
