Amid a flurry of Nintendo Switch 2 rumors and third-party accessory promotions, yet another leak has surfaced. This time, the alleged leak showcases an impressive 3D depiction of the console along with its Joy-Cons.
Tech and mobile website 91mobiles, in partnership with OnLeaks, released these images. They illustrate a black handheld device that appears similar to the Switch but is larger than both the OLED and standard models. With the Joy-Cons attached, 91mobiles provided the following measurements: 271 x 116.4 x 31.4mm (10.67 x 4.58 x 1.24 inches). The specified screen dimension is 8.4 inches.
These measurements align with previous estimates in accordance with Genki’s Switch 2 mock-up, created to promote the company’s line of accessories. Genki also asserted that the device would launch in April but clarified that they did not possess knowledge regarding the internal specifications; representatives shared only the data on the exterior and features like magnetic controllers.
Regarding additional features depicted, the renders indicate a USB-C port located on the top of the console. The right Joy-Con includes a “c” button. Each Joy-Con is equipped with additional “triggers” adjacent to the ZL and ZR buttons, which the report speculates could be utilized to detach the magnetic controller from the screen. A U-shaped kickstand is present on the back of the screen.
In other Switch 2 news, purportedly leaked GameStop listings suggest support for specific card functionalities for expanded storage. The listings indicate that the device will still utilize microSD cards. While Nintendo has confirmed that information regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 (which other leaks confirm is the console’s actual name) is expected before the end of March 2025, it has yet to officially unveil any specific details. Without official confirmation, any information shared in these leaks should be taken with skepticism.
