The developer of Fields of Mistria, NPC Studio, has disclosed its future roadmap detailing upcoming content, along with the features arriving in the second major update scheduled for March.
The March 2025 update will introduce a new character named Caldarus and a mechanic that enables players to converse with Elsie to discover a character’s preferred items. Additional NPC dialogues and schedules are expected to be included as well. There will be several new unlocks, including spells and mines, in addition to a Fire Seal quest and the subsequent mine biome.

New requests and museum rewards will be introduced to the city, and the Renown level cap will be increased by 20 levels. Expansions to farmland, new furniture decorations, and cosmetics will also be part of the update. Regarding future developments beyond March, the studio is exploring additional elements like marriage and child mechanics. However, the developers emphasize that the timelines for these upcoming features are currently not defined.
Fields of Mistria launched in early access on Steam in August and experienced its first significant content update in November 2024. The game takes the form of a farming simulator reminiscent of titles such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, setting itself apart with a charming 90s anime aesthetic similar to shows like Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2.
