Exploring the Fiery World of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is projected to be released in North America and Europe on August 5, 2025.

To celebrate, Sega has unveiled a new story trailer – which you can certainly view below – and has confirmed that players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition can “experience gameplay up to five days early”.

We have also discovered further details about the various editions available. The Digital Deluxe Edition is expected to retail for approximately £65, while the Digital Standard Edition and physical version will be priced at £55. Here’s what each edition includes:

Digital Deluxe Edition

• Full game
• 2 Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys – Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui
• 4 Character Unlock Keys – Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima
• VS Mode Special Unlock: Upper-Rank Demons Set – Akaza, Daki, Gyutaro, Gyokko, and Zohakuten
• 3 Battle Costume Outfits – Tanjiro Kamado’s Kimono (Leisure District), Inosuke Hashibira’s Kimono (Leisure District), and Tengen Uzui’s Shinobi Outfit
• Pre-order bonuses: Early Access – The opportunity to start playing the game on July 31, 2025 (you must pre-order before August 5, 2025). Not available for Nintendo Switch), and 2 Character Unlock Keys – Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji if you purchase the game prior to its release on August 5, 2025.

Digital Standard Edition

Physical Edition

Digital pre-orders are set to commence on March 3 for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam platforms. However, the Nintendo Switch version will be “available later”.

There are also bonuses available for linking your saved data from either Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles or Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Boards! Provided you use the same platform, players with saved data from The Hinokami Chronicles will receive six Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys – Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Shinobu Kocho, and Giyu Tomioka.

Bonuses for Sweep the Boards! saved data include one character unlock key – Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma (all three serve as a single playable character) and three battle apparel outfits.
