Sony’s impressive holiday sales might have concluded weeks ago, yet Walmart is continuing several discounts on PlayStation games into the new year. For a limited time, you can save significantly on various physical PS5 titles and a selection of Sony-published games across other platforms. Among the 2024 highlights included in the offers are Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for $40 and Stellar Blade for $50—both collectively priced at $70.
And while it may not be a significant discount, the PS5-exclusive platformer Astro Bot is now priced at $54 at Walmart (previously $60), giving you a slight savings on the 2024 Game Awards’ Game of the Year winner, which is also one of our selections for the Top 10 Games of 2024.
Many more games are featured at a discount, such as Horizon Forbidden West, now reduced to just $30 (originally $40), and you can also pair it with a discounted six-inch Aloy figure, available for $35 (previously $50) at Walmart and Amazon. Additionally, you might also find Lego Horizon Adventures for $40 on either PS5 or Nintendo Switch, making it one of the few cross-platform titles on the list of discounts.

PS5 Disc Drive
It goes without saying, but you require a disc drive to enjoy these physical games. While the PS5 Slim Disc Edition is equipped with an integrated disc drive, other models such as the PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro can only run downloadable games unless you acquire the PS5 Disc Drive accessory. Fortunately, the disc drive is currently in stock and available for $80 on Amazon. Alternatively, if you would prefer a discounted PS5 with an integrated disc drive, consider purchasing the PS5 Slim: Fortnite Cobalt Superstar Edition for $424 (originally $500). This special edition console includes the PS5 Slim Disc Edition along with a variety of Fortnite-themed extras.
