Here’s a quick overview of how the game is progressing

Avowed is set to launch in early access soon, and while developer Obsidian has explained how the Xbox Series X will perform, they haven’t truly demonstrated that in gameplay or provided specific details about the Xbox Series S version. Fortunately, we’ve now received a variety of early gameplay footage from both consoles, including some quick frame rate evaluations.
Thanks to YouTube channel The Xbox Tester, we can now take a look at how Avowed is functioning on both Xbox Series X and Series S. One interesting piece of information we can derive from these evaluations is that Xbox Series S also features that desirable 40FPS mode, for those equipped with a 120Hz television.
We will include both Series X and Series S performance evaluations below:
Overall, Avowed is performing quite well across all of its gameplay modes, and we are particularly pleased to see that the 40FPS gameplay is available on the Xbox Series S as well. Regarding 60FPS, that mode is exclusive to the Xbox Series X at launch, and it appears to be functioning very well on Microsoft’s more powerful console.
So far, everything is coming together nicely, and it seems like Obsidian has made excellent use of the additional development time that last year’s delay provided. This positive trend extends beyond just frame rates – the entire experience has been very enjoyable for us up to this point, which you can read more about in our Pure Xbox review provided below.
