What are you looking to gain this Valentine’s Day? Chocolates? Flora? Or perhaps a duo of fierce clowns dressed up as Santa? If you responded affirmatively to that ultimate question, then you are indeed in exceptional luck, as Terrifier 3 has set a streaming date.
That’s fantastic news! The holiday-themed slasher is poised to claim yet another celebration. As confirmed on Twitter, Terrifier 3 is arriving on Screambox on February 14. Not only that, but the streaming service has acknowledged this announcement by revealing a Valentine’s Day-themed poster for Terrifier 3, featuring Art the Clown replacing his Christmas tree-shaped glasses with love heart frames. The announcement arrives just four months after Damien Leone’s third installment dominated the box office last October. The sequel garnered an impressive $89.9 million globally against its $2 million budget. This is quite an achievement for a franchise that began with modest origins, as the first Terrifier film was produced for just $35,000.
The third film shakes up Art’s unique narrative of terrorizing Miles County on Halloween Night, as depicted in the first two films, and witnesses the serial murderer come back to life during the Christmas season. The sequel follows the lead character Sienna (Lauren LaVera) and her brother Jonathan (Elliot Fullam) as they strive to rebuild their lives after Art has killed everyone they cherish, but that doesn’t last long as the clown (David Howard Thornton) is quickly resurrected once again.
However, the story isn’t quite over, as Terrifier 4 is officially in production. The fourth installment will delve into Art the Clown’s long-awaited origin story and could mark the beginning of the end for the franchise. However, before the release of Terrifier 3, Leone mentioned to GamesRadar+ that it might take a couple of movies to complete the Terrifier saga, but he already knows how it will all conclude.
