“Microsoft is not halting”
- by Liam Doolan
A few days ago, intriguing speculation emerged regarding Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator potentially becoming available on multiple platforms in 2025.
Furthermore, in a separate statement, Home windows Central’s Jez Corden has corroborated these assertions as “likely accurate” and indicated that Microsoft may very well not be limiting themselves to just that – with Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and “possibly” Gears of War: Ultimate Edition also slated for release on PlayStation 5 and potentially even the successor to Nintendo’s Switch:
Jez Corden: “I’ve been informed that in addition to Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and possibly Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition are also planned for PlayStation 5 this year, although I’m uncertain if that encompasses the Nintendo Switch 2. I would assume that it most likely does, if I had to make a guess.”
Corden does mention how these strategies are still in flux, urging everyone to approach this information with some skepticism.
Xbox declared last year that there are no “nascent boundaries” concerning which games they may ultimately deliver to different platforms, and the gaming division appears to be advertising almost everything as an Xbox – with Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella also emphasizing that the goal is to make gaming more accessible than ever before.
What is your genuine opinion on Xbox launching additional first-party titles on PlayStation and Nintendo systems? We would love to hear your thoughts.
