While it remains uncertain if the sequel to Constantine, which was announced back in 2022, will actually reach production, fans of the original can at least look forward to seeing the Keanu Reeves movie on 4K Blu-ray. Constantine is set to be released on 4K Blu-ray on February 18, with two budget-friendly editions available for preorder to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary. Walmart currently lists Constantine’s Limited Edition Steelbook available for preorder at $30; Amazon is sold out at $40, so there’s a possibility that Walmart may sell out as well. Alternatively, you might consider preordering a standard 4K Blu-ray edition for $25 at Amazon or Walmart.

If you haven’t yet watched the film, Constantine is based on the DC comic series Hellblazer, featuring Keanu Reeves as the titular chain-smoking demon-hunter. After becoming involved with an investigator looking into the death of her twin sister, Constantine finds himself entangled between the powers of Heaven and Hell. While it made significant alterations to the original source material, it remains largely true to the essence of the comics.
The film did not receive a warm welcome upon its initial release twenty years ago; however, as time has passed, audiences have become much more appreciative of this portrayal of Hellblazer, and a sequel starring Reeves has been in development for several years. Nevertheless, the latest reports indicate that the script is still not finalized, suggesting that the film may not reach theaters for some time.
In the meantime, if you are curious about the character’s backstory, consider obtaining the John Constantine, Hellblazer Omnibus 1 for $105 (originally $150). This expansive collection compiles numerous Hellblazer story arcs, standalone issues, crossovers with other DC characters such as Swamp Thing and Sandman, as well as behind-the-scenes content like scripts and extras.
Since the release of the film, Constantine has appeared in various DC universe projects, including his own television series featuring Matt Ryan as the supernatural detective. Although it aired for a single season of 13 episodes, it is widely appreciated as a faithful portrayal of the character, presenting another excellent way to dive deeper into the Hellblazer lore. You can purchase Constantine: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for just $18.87 at Amazon.
Ryan’s portrayal of Constantine was so acclaimed that he also lent his voice to the character in the animated Hellblazer films Constantine: The House of Mystery and Constantine: City of Demons. He also appeared as a supporting character in several animated DC films such as Justice League: Dark, Apokolips War, and Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two and Part Three. You can acquire all of these films on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray from Amazon. Check out the complete list of Constantine and Hellblazer releases below.
