Fleet, appear astonished!

The Pokémon Company has now revealed (through Serebii) that a Pokémon Presents showcase is set for February 27th at 2pm GMT / 3pm CET / 9am ET / 6am PT — wait, that’s Pokémon Day!
Needless to say, this announcement might not come as a surprise to anyone. TPC tends to utilize the anniversary of Red and Blue‘s Japanese debut to inform us about what to expect in the world of Pokémon for the year ahead, and this year is no exception. Combine that predictability with the Pokémon GO data mining from January, and it’s safe to say we were quite certain about this one being a dead cert.
The event will be streamed on YouTube one week from today. You can find the precise times for the showcase in your location below:
- North America: 6am PST / 7am MST / 8am CST / 9am EST
- UK/Ireland: 2pm GMT
- Europe: 3pm CET / 4pm EET
- Asia/Oceania: 11pm JST / 10pm AWST / 1am (Fri) AEDT
However, what the showcase will actually encompass, now that’s where the excitement begins. Naturally, we are prepared for potential disappointment — these events have been somewhat lackluster in the past — but there is significantly more happening in the world of Pokémon this year and with Switch 2 now an officially recognized entity, anything could potentially unfold.
We are hopeful for a deeper look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A following last year’s very brief teaser trailer, and we always send out a wish for the classic games on NSO (as unrealistic as it may seem at this point). Realistically, expect updates regarding Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, maybe some future events for Pokémon Sleep and GO, and a couple of Café ReMix crossovers.
If the prospect of all that excitement hasn’t piqued your interest, then perhaps this unique limited trailer from the official Pokémon YouTube channel will do the trick. Wow, there’s a catchy tune that’s sure to stay in our heads for the rest of the day…
What are you hoping to see from this year’s showcase? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
