Zelda, Paper Mario and beyond

We are still in that period of the year when year-end events are occurring, and the 14th annual New York Game Awards is next on the schedule.
While there are no Nintendo titles competing for the ‘Game of the Year’ distinction, several first-party Switch games have received nominations in various other categories. This includes Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, nominated for ‘Best Kids Game’, and Super Mario Party Jamboree, which has also been recognized in the same category.
In addition, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is nominated for ‘Best Remake’, while Splatoon 3: Side Order has been chosen for ‘Best DLC’. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is also competing for ‘Best Mobile Game’.
The nominees for ‘Game of the Year’ include Balatro, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Astro Bot, UFO 50, 1000xRESIST, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and EA Sports College Football 25.
