As the “top tier” theme park enthusiasts get an exclusive preview
Earlier this month, Nintendo finally unveiled the expansion of Universal’s Super Nintendo World focused on Donkey Kong Country. It is set to open next month on December 11, 2024, and ahead of the grand opening, Universal has announced the entrance and welcomed the first theme park guests.
As noted by our friends at VGC, some of the park’s “top tier annual pass holders” have had the chance to visit the park early. This provides a glimpse of these guests entering this new area and the fresh entrance (which was not showcased during the official Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this month).
Donkey Kong Country is an addition to Super Nintendo World, where guests can immerse themselves in a place themed around the Donkey Kong franchise. This includes exclusive food, games, rides, and merchandise tailored to this area. There are also Donkey Kong-themed Power-Up Bands!
You can also view more of Super Nintendo World’s Donkey Kong Country expansion in our gallery. Below are a few images (featuring Shigeru Miyamoto) of what it looks like entering this tunnel and what you can see on the other side when you exit:
