Elliot Page Secures TV Rights for Quantic Dream’s “Beyond: Two Souls”
“The narrative’s intricate storyline and emotional resonance provide us a wonderful groundwork.”
Quantic Dream’s 2013 supernatural action adventure, Beyond: Two Souls, is set to be adapted into a television series after the rights were acquired by one of the game’s prominent stars, Elliot Page, through their company, Pageboy Productions.
“Filming the game was one of the most challenging and rewarding acting experiences of my career,” Page informed Deadline.
“The tale’s rich narrative and emotional depth provide us an engaging foundation. We aim to create a unique interpretation of the characters and their journeys that resonates with both fans and newcomers.”
The game revolves around Jodie Bell, a young woman with psychic powers, and a supernatural force named Aiden who becomes entangled in a web of government secrets after being sent to the United States Department of Paranormal Activities. The show is currently in early development; however, there is no confirmation yet on whether Page’s co-star in the game, Willem Dafoe, will reprise his role.
“We are absolutely excited to work with Elliot Page once more on this project,” stated Quantic Dream writer and director, David Cage.
“I was amazed by his performance in the game, and I couldn’t imagine anyone else bringing this story to life with the same passion in another medium. Beyond: Two Souls holds a very special place for millions of players around the world who were touched by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey through life and beyond. I believe that Elliot possesses the talent and instinct to make it shine.”
