Latest details arise

The Call of Duty franchise continues to move forward, and currently, fresh details about this year’s installment in the series have surfaced thanks to Insider Gaming. The credible source has released a new report focusing on developer Treyarch going all out on Zombies mode – with six maps planned; set in some “unusual” locations.
The report indicates that these six maps may be distributed throughout the game’s lifecycle – so we likely shouldn’t expect to see all of them on launch day. However, we can expect to see some familiar characters returning – IG asserts that the original Zombies cast is “likely making a comeback” in this year’s game.
“Insider Gaming has discovered that Call of Duty 2025, which will be spearheaded by Treyarch Games, could feature a total of six round-based zombies maps throughout the game’s lifecycle. Details about the direction of Call of Duty 2025 are already becoming an open secret, including that the game is a sequel to Black Ops 2 and that the original zombies team is likely making a return.”
As you might want to consider from the aforementioned quote – it appears that this year’s Call of Duty title could potentially connect to the beloved Black Ops 2 in some manner, which is a rumor we have encountered several times already. If Treyarch is indeed at the helm of development for COD 2025, we would expect it to be a ‘stopgap’ title of sorts – similar to 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, which was produced in a notably short timeframe.
The article concludes by mentioning some of the game’s additional “unusual” Zombies locations, which may or may not make it into the full release. The team has reportedly been experimenting with stages set in post-WW2 New York, an Eastern temple, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and a location yet to be revealed. Clearly, this year’s COD game is expected to include campaign and multiplayer modes as well – details of which we should officially learn about in the coming months.
Excited about this, folks? Let us know if you’re planning to play COD 2025 down below.
