Delve into top-down roguelike shooter Fraction 13 when it hits 1.0 in Could well possibly and put collectively to die and die again
Section 13 is set to make a robust debut in May after nearly two years in early access and will be available on PC and consoles, as announced at the Future Games Show.
This roguelike shooter from Ocean Drive Studio allows players to explore the enigmatic titular Section 13 facility, where all kinds of eerie monstrosities are contained in a vast network of underground labs. As one of four S2P agent characters, each with unique abilities, you will aim to delve as deep into Section 13 as possible before encountering a brutal end, uncovering secrets, weapons, and powers along the way.
Since this is a roguelike, death is essential for progression; every discovery you make during a run will aid you in your subsequent attempts. After you perish, you can unlock permanent enhancements for your agent and expand their arsenal. Throughout your sessions, you will also encounter currencies that can offer various methods to quickly enhance your agent’s abilities. There are 13 firearms, nine melee weapons, and six throwable explosives to discover, providing plenty of options to experiment with each time you embark on a run.
Speaking of starting a run, you can do so in solo story mode to unlock characters or in the newly updated co-op mode, which allows you to team up with one or two other players. The co-op mode was temporarily disabled for adjustments but is now back and will be featured in the full launch of the game.
As noted, Section 13 will exit early access for its full launch in May 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
