Playtonic Games’ Yooka-Replaylee, an enhanced remake of the 2017 3D collect-a-thon platformer Yooka-Laylee, has reached a “content complete” milestone and word of a street date is “coming…SoonTM”.
According to PM Studios, the publisher handling retail versions of Yooka-Replaylee, news arrived in a Bluesky clip that gave fans a lightning-fast status update.
The clip verifies that the project is “content complete”; Playtonic is now deep in QA, squashing remaining issues.
Naturally, the precise definition of “sooner rather than later” is still hazy. It might surface during the Indie World stream on Thursday, or it might appear at gamescom Opening Night Live on 19 August.
In short, the announcement window is wide — we’ll simply have to stay tuned.
