‘Wild Hearts S’ Switch 2 Release Detailed By Koei Tecmo

Among the numerous third-party titles unveiled during the major Switch 2 announcement was the Monster Hunter-inspired game Wild Hearts S developed by Koei Tecmo.

This original version was initially launched on various platforms with EA’s support, and now Koei Tecmo has taken sole responsibility for publishing.

Gameplay

• The player cap for both online and local multiplayer has expanded from 3 to 4 players.
  • Cross-platform gameplay is unavailable.
  • A Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is necessary for online functionality. An EA account is not required.
• This edition lacks voice chat and text chat options. (You may utilize the “Game Chat” feature on Nintendo Switch™ 2.)
• Includes the update of additional creatures and modes from “WILD HEARTS” from the outset.
• This version does not feature extra weapons, Karakuri, or beasts.
• HDR functionality is absent.

Balance Modifications

• Parameters for specific weapons and armor have been adjusted to facilitate early challenges against high-difficulty bosses through equipment optimization.
• Beast escape mechanics have been modified based on inflicted damage, with a decrease in escape frequency.

Incentives

• Bonuses from the “WILD HEARTS Karakuri Edition” will be part of “WILD HEARTS S”.
  • Two full cosmetic armor sets: “Karakuri Samurai Cladding” and “Karakuri Ninja Cladding.”
