Among the finest horror films of 2025 is now accessible on 4K Blu-ray. Weapons, the second film by Barbarian director Zach Cregger, is available for $28 at Amazon and is set to ship this week. That last detail is crucial here, as the other three versions of Weapons have considerable anticipated waiting on launch day (October 14). After being sold out for two months, the Weapons Limited Edition Steelbook is now back in stock with a staggering price of $59.
Amazon continues to label the Steelbook Edition as a preorder and does not anticipate orders shipping until December 8. Should you manage to secure a preorder, you won’t be billed until your order is shipped, so ideally, the price will revert to the $38-$45 range it initially was. Note: Amazon sold out and restocked the Steelbook Edition three times within the last 15-20 minutes, so keep monitoring the store page if it appears unavailable when you click.
In the meantime, the standard Blu-ray edition ($23) and DVD ($18) have delivery timeframes ranging from one to two months at Amazon. Walmart has the Blu-ray edition in stock for $23 and the
DVD for $18, and in contrast to Amazon, both formats are ready for immediate shipping. Your order may arrive as soon as tomorrow.

Weapons Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
$59 | Restocked on October 14
As noted, the Weapons Limited Edition Steelbook has been unavailable since preorders commenced in early August. It initially sold out at a $38 price at Amazon and Gruv, before also being sold out at Walmart for $59. There appear to be some inventory challenges with the Limited Edition Steelbook, as Amazon predicts that orders placed today (October 14) won’t be shipped until December 8. If you manage to secure a preorder, you will not be billed until your order is dispatched, so hopefully, the price will revert to a lower rate before that.
The Steelbook Edition showcases Alex Lilly (Cary Christopher) gazing out of his window on the front cover, with the time of 2:17 glowing on an alarm clock on the back. The inner art features the eerie depiction of Alex sitting solitary in his classroom.
The Steelbook Edition includes 4K Blu-ray, 1080p Blu-ray, and digital formats of Weapons.

Weapons is an engrossing and profoundly disturbing horror film that unfolds in a small suburban town in Pennsylvania. When all but one child from a third-grade class inexplicably escape from their homes at 2:17 AM one night, the community is left grappling with unimaginable grief. Initially, the investigation’s focus and the ire of Archer (Josh Brolin) and other heartbroken parents centers on the third-grade instructor Justine. However, much like Barbarian, Cregger’s 2022 directorial debut, Weapons is considerably stranger, more unsettling, and disturbing than it may first appear. Like Barbarian, Cregger both wrote and directed Weapons. The narrative is artfully conveyed through several perspectives and shifts between the timeline before and after the children vanish. Weapons stands as one of the highest-rated horror films of the year.
Regrettably, Cregger’s debut film, Barbarians, has yet to see a physical release, so hopefully that will materialize eventually. Cregger’s forthcoming project is an adaptation of Resident Evil set within the realm of Resident Evil 2. It is currently in pre-production and is expected to premiere in theaters next year.
The Steelbook Edition of Weapons may currently be incredibly costly, yet there is another critically praised horror film with a forthcoming Steelbook Edition that is facing an entirely opposite scenario. The Amazon-exclusive 4K Steelbook Edition of The Long Walk is up for preorder at $26.65 (originally $35). The Long Walk stands out as one of the best-received adaptations of a Stephen King novel in recent years. It’s one of numerous Amazon-exclusive Steelbook Editions available for horror enthusiasts to preorder at present. Other highlights comprise a collection of Saw films with exceptionally appealing steelbook and slipcover art. Saw 2, 3, and 4 will be available on 4K Blu-ray for the first time on October 28.
Horror enthusiasts can also reserve two heavily discounted Shudder Blu-ray compilations. Shudder’s 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition is available for just $62.38 (was $120) on Amazon. The collection features 10 of Shudder’s top titles on 1080p Blu-ray. In addition, Creepshow: Complete Series is marked down to only $53.22 (previously $100). This set includes all four seasons of the anthology series with comic-themed cases and a fantastic display box. Both Shudder compilations will debut on November 11.
