Deadline reveals that the pair are poised to feature in HanWay Films’ Rapture, a project by playwright Jordan Tannahill, marking his debut as a director as he ventures into a medieval horror narrative that promises to be chilling.
Set in 1348, Rapture centers around a small congregation of monks whose lives and faith are disrupted when a stranger arrives with horrifying reports of a plague sweeping through the world and inching closer to their sanctuary. The affliction transforms its victims into the undead, leading to a surge of these creatures overwhelming the once-peaceful Yorkshire haven, compelling the men of faith to commit unimaginable acts to survive and wrestle with the morality of either aiding those in peril or guiding them to God in whichever way possible.
