Square Enix unveiled a trailer for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake earlier this week, highlighting an exciting new underwater region called the Seabed.
Now, as part of its presentation event at the Tokyo Game Show, it has revealed a massive 37 minutes of “live gameplay.” You can learn more about this fresh locale in our prior article. This area will feature new dungeons, adversaries, as well as additional narrative content.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is set to be launched for the Switch and Switch 2 next month on 30th October 2025.
During the same event this week, Square Enix displayed extended gameplay footage of Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined and other titles such as Octopath Traveler 0. These games also received new trailers, which you can check out in our other articles here on Nintendo Life.
Extended footage of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles was also displayed during Square Enix’s event ahead of its launch on the Switch and Switch 2 next week. You can view the replay of this on Square Enix’s YouTube channel.
