The initial images have now been removed on Reddit. Nevertheless, additional images have emerged of alleged Switch 2 consoles arriving at retail locations.
YouTuber Jake Randall posted an image on social media of a Target store that had received Switch 2 consoles.
The devices were reportedly located in the center of the store in a secured cage, indicating that the shipment is progressing rapidly.
Original Story: Retailers in the US are supposedly beginning to receive inventory of the Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of the console’s debut on 5th June 2025.
This information is based on a recent post on Reddit (thanks, Stealth40k) from user sadgepvc, who mentions that a Target store they work at has received a total of 40 Switch 2 consoles; 20 standard editions and 20 Mario Kart World bundles.
To address those who assert that the boxes do not actually contain Switch 2 consoles, they followed up with another picture to verify their legitimacy.
The user highlights that the Target location is “one of the smallest” in the vicinity, and that other, larger stores will likely have increased inventory on the launch day.
This is a clear sign that preparations are underway; stock is starting to circulate among retailers, who will undoubtedly be working hard to get their stores and personnel ready for the influx that will arrive in just over 9 days.
This is thrilling news! The downside, of course, is that leaks may become likely in the upcoming days, so stay vigilant, everyone.
