After helming one of the most cherished RPGs in history, The Witcher 3, and developing one of the most despised (until it received updates and transformed into a hit) RPGs ever, Cyberpunk 2077, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz established the new studio Revolt Wolves. This studio is collaborating with the creator of The Witcher 3, Bandai Namco, to launch the vampire-themed RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. While the team may stick to their expertise and produce another Witcher-style adventure, creating something unique is a top priority for Revolt Wolves.

The Blood of Dawnwalker features a protagonist cursed with vampirism. However, instead of bursting into flames in the sunlight (or simply sizzling) like a typical vampire, Coen is limited to the abilities of an ordinary human while gaining supernatural powers at night. Crafting a character reminiscent of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde has become a significant focus for the team.

In an interview with PC Gamer, director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz stated, “This duality of the hero, which we recognize from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, is indeed intriguing. It’s a concept familiar in pop culture that hasn’t yet been thoroughly explored in video games. It adds a different dimension to these realities, and I think it would be fascinating since no one has done this before. We’ll see how audiences respond.”

However, the classic original wasn’t the only inspiration behind Coen’s struggles in his human form.
