An icon switch is part of the package
- penned by Ollie Reynolds
UFO 50, the stellar retro anthology on Switch, just landed a new patch bumping it to version 1.7.8.30.
Among the highlights are a brand-new “pixel-perfect” scaling toggle and a redrawn home-menu icon—because, let’s face it, the previous emblem wasn’t winning any beauty contests.
The studio has promised additional fixes down the line, but this is already a tidy step forward, wouldn’t you say?
Below are the full patch notes:
– Icon redesigned
– Performance tweaks to reduce slowdown (more on the way)
– Pixel-perfect scaling toggle introduced
– Option to remap buttons added
– Crash when duplicating Empty Profile eliminated
– Global language preference now persists

We were utterly smitten with UFO 50 when it surprise-launched last month, handing it a 9/10 and dubbing it “magnificent—an ideal match for Switch.”
