By Flynn is back! At the very least, we’re quite certain of that, as the sleek new trailer for Tron: Ares has launched online, presenting an exhilarating chase with light cycles cutting through the competition and the iconic character himself hinting at what’s in store.
Continuing from Joseph Kosinski’s Tron: Legacy, this stylish threequel directed by Joachim Rønning introduces a highly advanced program called Ares (Leto), which is unleashed into the real world to show just how stunning neon can appear when it wants to be. And it turns out it looks exceptional, especially with a stunning appearance from the legendary coder Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges).

Interspersed with police cars being sliced and diced by the franchise’s iconic vehicles, Jared Leto’s character can be heard questioning his position in a world beyond his own. “I’m searching for something. Something I cannot comprehend.” It seems he’s on the brink of uncovering his truths after breaking into our realm, followed by a massive Recognizer hovering above a city as Greta Lee’s Eve Kim observes in sheer terror. “Ready?” Flynn is heard asking. “Because there’s no turning back.”
Evan Peters, Cameron Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, and Hasan Minhaj are set to join in the action as individuals are transformed into pixels.
