This week has been a massive event for Nintendo and Illumination with the unveiling of the official trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Super Mario aficionados have meticulously examined every second of the main video, and to build upon that, the initial formal movie poster has been revealed.
The poster depicts Mario and Luigi in what seems to be the Sand Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey. In this image, they are encircled by local inhabitants, known as the Tostarenan, who live in Tostarena Town. Accompanying this is a short statement from Nintendo, acknowledging that the film will “explore new realms”.

This identical locale seems to be showcased around the 1:35 point in the official trailer, where it appears that Mario and Luigi are racing through the desert on motorbikes, heading towards an Inverted Pyramid.
