The Last of Us season 2 star has shared the moment that gave her the worst “video game PTSD”

The issue with The Last of Us season 2 is that it compels enthusiasts of the initial games to go through a harrowing checklist of events they have previously encountered. The most significant occurrence thus far is having to witness the tragic ending of Joel Miller (portrayed in the series by Pedro Pascal, who is absent from the opening credits, which we find unacceptable) as Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and we are forced to observe the events unfold.

A devoted gamer and cast member present for that memorable and emotionally intense scene is Tati Gabrielle, who plays one of Abby’s (Kaitlyn Dever) companions, Nora. Remarkably, the actress appeared to be alright with that sorrowful moment – it was encountering another scene devised particularly for season 2 that she struggled with. Sharing a stunning piece of artwork from @mera.kiae on Instagram depicting Tommy (Gabriel Luna) confronting a Bloater, Gabrielle admitted, “Unexpectedly, THIS moment is what triggered my most intense video game PTSD lol.”

By removing Tommy from his brother’s scene, Joel’s sibling required a task, and regrettably, this involved facing a grotesque form of the infected with a flamethrower. While this scenario never occurred in the game’s narrative, such confrontations were frequent for players, especially with the added pressure of low ammunition, mirroring Uncle Tommy’s situation when his weapon began to deplete.

Fortunately, Joel’s brother survived to battle another day, which should encompass supporting Ellie as she pursues her quest for revenge against the Salt Lake Crew. You can observe how the two interact as The Last of Us progresses this week on Max.
