The Case for Bringing an Okami Sequel to the Switch 2

Almost 19 years after the launch of the original PS2 game, Capcom has officially announced that a sequel is now officially in the works at The Game Awards 2024. Furthermore, it is being crafted at a new studio called Clovers under the leadership of creator Hideki Kamiya.
On that note, the outspoken creator recently found himself back in the spotlight after he voiced his preference that fans should avoid playing the 2008 Wii version of the game, clarifying that it does not represent the true original and therefore did not benefit from his personal involvement. Instead, he recommended Okami HD as a more accurate starting point.
