With just under two months until the Switch 2 is set to debut on June 5, Nintendo is preparing to fulfill demand for the console, meaning that supplies have begun shipping globally. That’s correct—the Switch 2 has already arrived in the US.
In an interview with CNBC, Doug Bowser, president of Nintendo of America, discussed preorders and managing initial demand. “It’s still uncertain,” he replied when questioned about whether Nintendo will be able to keep up with demand at launch, “but that certainly is our aim.”
“We’ve had sufficient time to build up inventories globally, so we genuinely hope we can satisfy that demand,” Bowser stated. “Some units have already made their way into parts of the United States.”
