Enhancements, modifications, bug resolutions and beyond
At its launch, the Switch 2 saw a variety of third-party backing, including the Square Enix role-playing title Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster.
This remaster is packed with not just the main quest but also exciting new minigames utilizing the Joy-Con 2 mouse function. Recently, Square Enix has introduced the Version 1.0.2 update.
You can manually initiate this update by selecting the game’s Switch 2 home menu icon. Below are the complete patch notes provided by Square Enix’s support site. It is filled with numerous enhancements, modifications, tutorial upgrades, and addresses certain bugs.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD – Version 1.0.2 (October 10, 2025)

This update is slated to be accessible at midnight on October 10, 2025 (JST). Update Details ■ Enhancements related to internet connectivity:
- A problem that caused the software to be disconnected from the internet while loading or waking from sleep has been fixed.
- A “Communication in process” message will now show while the software waits to connect when transitioning maps after awakening from sleep.
- A “Communication in process” message will now also be visible when a connection is not yet established post-loading, allowing the software to wait and check the status of friends and guests.
- Friends and guests will now be restored when feasible without waiting for map changes.
- The protocol for automatically disabling internet connections following a communication error has been modified, and error specifics will be displayed.
- An Internet Connection Test feature has been integrated into the Config menu, enabling users to check the current connection status.
■ Modifications to the Exchange Shop:
- The token count required to redeem all prizes has been decreased.
■ Achievement refinements:
- A fix has been made where inflicting 9,999 damage or more on Orthros would not grant the “9,999” achievement.
■ Tutorial enhancements:
- An explanation of “Press and hold” now accompanies the button icon in the initial job tutorials.
- A tutorial now supports notes that appear for the first time when playing Luxencheer Rhythm Catch in the game corner.
■ Miscellaneous:
- Other minor bugs have been resolved.
