An adjustment update is set to arrive tomorrow

At the conclusion of the Dragon Ball FighterZ championships at EVO France, Bandai Namco revealed some thrilling news. The centerpiece was the teaser announcement of a new fighter. It’s Super Saiyan 4 Goku (Daima), and he’s slated to join at some point in Spring 2026.

In addition to this, the announcement of a balance modification update was made. This will be available tomorrow on 12th October 2025. Bandai Namco pointed out how “precisely timing a Z-Reflect can change the course of battle”. Furthermore, every character will receive an update.

“Goku (SS4, DAIMA) from DRAGON BALL DAIMA is officially becoming part of the #DRAGONBALLFighterZ lineup! Additionally, a balance update arrives October 12, introducing strategic complexity to Z Reflect! Complete patch notes will be accessible on the release day!”

As shown in the trailer above, legendary figures from the game’s competitive scene will also return at the Dragon Ball FighterZ Masters Showdown during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026. This event is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, California at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall from 18th to 19th April 2026.

Dragon Ball FighterZ debuted on the initial Switch in 2018 and has since been followed by numerous game updates and additional DLC fighters. Bandai Namco has yet to make any announcements regarding a Switch 2 Edition or update, but if any news arises, we will inform you. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions featuring rollback netcode were launched last year.
