Nintendo has been enhancing various first-party titles since the launch of the Switch 2 in June, and today it has deployed an update for its time-constrained edition, Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Per the official update details on Nintendo’s assistance page, Version 1.1.4 resolves “multiple issues” to enhance gameplay on the new hybrid console. Nintendo doesn’t elaborate on the particulars, but if we learn more, we will inform you. Here’s the complete overview:

Most recent update: Ver. 1.1.4 (Released October 28, 2025)

The following enhancements have been made while playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2:

General

Multiple issues have been resolved to enhance gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2. Note: The software update is essential for playing on Nintendo Switch 2.

This marks Super Mario 3D All-Stars’ third revision this year. The prior two versions (1.1.3 and 1.1.2) share the same patch notes as the most recent game update. Once we uncover what’s happening here, we’ll share further information.

Even though updates continue to be issued for this title, remember it’s no longer obtainable for purchase on the eShop and was released for a “limited time” in retail outlets. It features Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and the inaugural Super Mario Galaxy game.

This update coincidentally follows the recent launch of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 at the start of October. You can discover more about this new (yet old) two-in-one release in our latest Nintendo Life review.
