Catch Me If You Can was derived from the book co-authored by Frank Abagnale Jr., a genuine con artist, and writer Stan Redding. DiCaprio portrays Abagnale in the film, who notoriously impersonated a Pan American airline pilot, physician, and several other highly skilled professions at a young age. Abagnale’s deceptions would ultimately draw the attention of the FBI, with one relentless agent—played by Hanks—pursuing him from state to state. If you’re keen on exploring the original book, you can obtain the Catch Me If You Can paperback edition for $10 at Amazon (previously $19), or the Audible audiobook version for $15.75 (previously $18).

The audiobook is also provided at no additional cost as part of the Audible Premium Plus streaming library, which you can access for just $1/month for three months if you subscribe to the service before December 16. Along with the content library, you also receive one Audible credit each month that allows you to purchase any audiobook on Amazon, which you can keep forever, even if you terminate your subscription. Essentially, the offer provides you three audiobooks over a few months for just $3. The subscription will transition to the regular $15/month after three months, unless you cancel prior to the promotional period ending.
