Visual enhancements and *reliability*
Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s remarkable open-world journey, has received another update for the Switch 2.
This update isn’t extensive, but it includes additional enhancements to the overall graphics, such as improving texture quality – delicious. Alongside that, we have some crucial Reliability™ as well as several general adjustments to the game’s narrative and interface.
Please note, Ubisoft indicates that these patch notes might reveal spoilers, so bear this in mind if you haven’t yet enjoyed Outlaws.

General Gameplay
- Resolved a problem where the ‘stealth takedowns restore health’ equipment ability was not activating
Performance
- Enhanced reliability
Graphics
- Corrected an issue where textures could display low resolution after prolonged playing
- Fixed several corrupted assets on Toshara
- Minimized cliff popping when traveling to Jaunta’s Hope on Toshara
- Enhanced texture quality
- Resolved shadow flickering when modifying brightness from the Quick Menu
UI
- Improved the accessibility screen for first-time game startup or new users
- Resolved an issue where enemies were not highlighted when tagging them with adrenaline rush
Story (BE AWARE OF SPOILERS)
Main Game:
- Corrected a problem where Kay exhibited stiff movements post adrenaline rush tutorial during ‘The Gunslinger’ quest
- Fixed a glitch where the blaster module might reset during ‘The Scavenger’ quest
- Corrected an issue where the Pyke Syndicate would not assist Kay in battles during ‘Recover the Cargo’ contract
Wild Card Story Pack
- Resolved a problem where players were unable to exit Renpalli station during the ‘Wild Card’ quest if an active contract was present
A Pirate’s Fortune Story Pack
- Addressed an issue where NPCs could vanish if Kay moved far away during ‘A Pirate’s Plight’
In our 8/10 review of Star Wars Outlaws, we mentioned that “With solid performance and impressive visuals in both docked and handheld modes, alongside motion controls and cross-saves included for good measure, this is a straightforward recommendation for Switch 2 fans of Star Wars.” It’s certainly worth a look if you haven’t done so yet.
