Ever since Cal Kestis first appeared in 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and then again in its 2023 follow-up, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, audiences have speculated about the padawan stepping into real-world visuals. That dilemma still hangs in the balance, but Cameron Monaghan will bring Cal back in a surprising form for Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past.
Star Wars.com confirms that Monaghan is part of an enormous vocal ensemble, which also welcomes original-trilogy veterans Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams as Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and Lando Calrissian. Season 1 of Rebuild the Galaxy mashed together multiple Star Wars eras and overhauled several key characters. Cal is absent from the teaser embedded below, yet you’ll still spot familiar faces—and the way their galactic destinies have shifted. For instance, Lando now rocks Mandalorian armor.
Alan Tudyk returns as K-2SO, while the slate also welcomes back Gaten Matarazzo (Sig), Tony Revolori (Dev), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi), Michael Cusack (Servo) and Ahmed Best as the radically re-imagined Darth Jar Jar. The promo additionally debuts Jaxxon—Marvel’s late-’70s rabbit-like Lepi—now voiced by Ben Schwartz of Sonic fame.
Dan Stevens lends his pipes to a fresh antagonist called Solitus, who intends to “unmake” the galaxy and possesses the means to pull it off.
The four-episode Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past drops in full on Disney+ September 19. Beyond brick-built escapades, Cal Kestis will headline the closing chapter of the Star Wars Jedi saga; EA confirmed last year that Respawn will craft Jedi 3. Seasonal collectibles continue, too—Hasbro just launched fresh Black Series figures from Survivor earlier this month.
